Quilt name: Grandmother's flower Garden (82"x90") This is an excellent example of 1930's fabric and design. The quilt was entirely hand-stitched, and the hexagon squares were English Paper-pieced. The maker was very purposeful ion their block and color layouts, including the decorative teardrop sides. The maker's initials, MLE, are embroidered on the back. The quilt was purchased on the east coast, but its actual origin is known. It is currently owned by Victoria Currie, a member of the Waterford Quilters Guild. |
