Top quilt Quilt Name: Amish Style Wall Hanging (35"x25") Make in 1989 by Jean Ange, this quilt was hand pieced and quilted with solid colors. Middle Quilt Quilt Name: Star Quilt Top (2nd from top of rack) This quilt top contains 25 hand appliqued eight-point stars created from colorful scraps on a muslin background. The printed fabric appears to be from the first half of the 20th century. The quilt was purchased in New York state and is owned by Jean Ange. The original maker is unknown. Quilt Name: Antique Quilt (3rd from one down from the top( Hand-stitched in the 1930's, this quilt pattern has a variety of names. According to Barbara Brackman's book, Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns, a few possibilities are Rope and Anchor, Fireside Visitor of Kansas City Star. The quilt was purchased nearly 30 years ago by the family of Kate Carey. Its maker and place of origin are unknown, |
